Disperse Dyes

Disperse dyes are categorized as S, SE, and the enzyme E types based on how resistant they are to heat during processing. E-type is suited for exhaustion dyeing because of its high level-dying properties and poor sublimation fastness. S-type is appropriate for thermosol dyeing; nonetheless, it has poor level-dying qualities and good sublimation fastness. Between S and E types is the SE type.

Because of its strong hydrophobicity, high levels of crystallization and array, small fiber gaps, difficulty wetting, and swelling when dye molecules are introduced into the fiber using conventional techniques, polyester fiber is difficult to dye. As a result, certain procedures like the carrier method, HTHP method, and high temperature hot melt method must be used. These techniques enhance the fiber gap by creating various conditions that cause the fiber to swell. At the same time, they increase the pace at which dyes diffuse by adding auxiliaries, which causes the dye molecules to diffuse into the swelled and expanded fiber gap.
